WEEK 2: SPANISH MASTERS - GOYA @ MADRID

Join Luca + friends for a journey through the lives and works of the greatest Spanish artists from the Baroque age to Modern era.

Last week we started our Art Around the World Spanish Masters journey in Seville with the works of Francisco de Zurbarán. In week two, we travel through time to Madrid, where we’ll meet Francisco Goya, considered “the last of the old masters,”who expresses in his intense and haunting works the contradictions of the age of the revolution divided between the illuministic faith in reason and the brutal consequences of the Napoleonic wars.
