FRENCH MASTERS - WEEK 3 - FRAGONARD @ PROVENCE
Join Luca Pietrosanti, art historian extraordinaire + friends for a journey through the lives and works of just four of the great French artists and artistic practices from the Medieval to Modern era.
Traveling in time towards the 1700 we’ll head south to Provence region, to be charmed by the Rococò masterpieces of Jean-Honoré Fragonard. In his home city, Grasse, known as the world's capital of perfume, we’ll discover what inspired his sensual and playful style of painting and what made it fall in disgrace after the French Revolution.
