Spanish Masters IRL

“Any reasonable, sentient person who looks at Spain, comes to Spain, eats in Spain, drinks in Spain, they’re going to fall in love. Otherwise, there’s something deeply wrong with you. This is the dream of all the world.”
                                                                                               Anthony Bourdain

The Perfect Fiesta

Spain with friends—the perfect fiesta!

For much of its history Spain was a collection of kingdoms, each known for its unique art, history, food, spirit and local culture. To get a real feel for Spain, it’s important to travel north to south and settle in for a few days to explore. Every region has its specialty: art in Madrid, Seville and Bilbao; architecture and the history of the Moors in Andalusia; Gaudi in Barcelona; and of course, food and spirit everywhere. A fascinating history stretching from Romans to Moors and beyond has left a legacy of castles, plazas, churches, and interesting people to get to know. Oh, and best of all, we explore Spain together with friends, led by art historian and expert guide, Luca Pietrosanti, travel and tours arranged by Kip of Kips Trips, with the IRL experience designed by Sumi of +With Friends.

Highlights

  • Stories of our world through art – Luca guides us through the art and times of the Spanish Masters at “chateo” happy hour and visits to world-class museums. Beyond the fine art and architecture, there’s much more beauty to discover by wandering through the streets, galleries, and unique boutiques. Treasures abound!

  • Life through food and spirit – Kip shares the many delights of local cuisine. Together, we’ll experience the delights of paella, pintxos, jamón (and more jamón!), tortilla (the Spanish kind!), fresh seafood, natillas, and of course, the perfect pairing with Spanish spirits: Cava, Riojas, and sherries of Jerez. ¡Salud!

  • Culture through traditions – Spanish culture is well represented by its enduring traditions of music, dance, literature, and festivals. We’ll meet with local guides and experts who share the history and enduring reverence for Flamenco, música folklórica, Cervantes, Lorca, and the Corridas de Toros.

  • With Friends – This is an exceptional opportunity to experience the art, history, fashion, food, spirit and culture of Spain together with family and friends.

Dates

  • October 28 – November 6: Visit Madrid, Seville with day trips to Rondo and Granada.
